In my last email, I highlighted the power of AI agents, which are growing more powerful at an exponential rate.
But something hit me late last week as I was wondering/worrying about the hectic pace of this AI/LLM race...
And I took a deep breath and calmed down for the first time in a while...
What I realized is that what's old is new...
There is literally nothing new under the sun...
While technology advances, it's still people—human beings—on the other end of the screen with whom we are trying to connect.
So, while AI tools can help anyone—even unscrupulous, lazy, greedy, shortcut-seekers—reach more people faster and easier, it does not help them persuade real humans any more effectively.
In much the same way we have spam filters and ad blockers, there will soon be AI blockers. (Heck, there are already AI disclaimers on social media posts.)
Therefore, humanity is the new "killer app" today.
Now, that doesn't mean throw technology away. (I'm using an email tool to send this message to thousands of people.)
However, savvy professional salespeople, sales managers, business owners, and entrepreneurs leverage technology to do the mundane so they can spend more time 1-on-1 with their best prospects and clients.
However (again), most hide behind technology—you say you're trying to figure this stuff out before you reach out so you can scale—as your excuse to justify not doing outreach.
Lookey here...you don't wait to feel better and more competent and more proficient before you take action.
By taking action, you feel better and more competent and become more proficient.
Ya feel me?
