How to use a phone in sales

This whole "always be selling" (or whatever) mantra is for the birds.
Just run a classified ad for a few bucks, put your phone number on it...don't have voicemail or even an assistant...let it ring...it builds mystique and desire for your offering.
Then, randomly, once or twice in the morning, and again after lunch, answer the phone with, "NOW WHAT? ARE YOU FINALLY READY TO ORDER BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR A BUNCH OF STUPID QUESTIONS!"
That cuts to the chase.
Chit chat and pleasantries and asking about their cat is just not what power players do.
