In marketing, sales, and direct response copywriting, it’s called building a “swipe file,” i.e., a file of ads, articles, and other materials that we “swipe” so we can review them later for inspiration and ideas.
I save a lot of things to keep a finger on the pulse of what is being pitched and pushed out there these days.
If I see an ad consistently, I know it’s probably working for the company or goo-roo, so I save them.

Then again, even Warren Buffett and Mark Cuban and Mr. Wonderful are humans. They are not immune to a good headline. A good offer. A well-written sales page.
